To recognize excellent presenters who submit high quality papers and present them at the SICE Annual Conference.

The finalists are requested to present their papers at the IA/YAA finalist session ThAT9 on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 10:20-12:50, in Room B204, in addition to the sessions assigned in the regular program denoted by Schedule Code.

Application Method:

SICE Annual Conference International Award (IA)

All of the regular papers are evaluated as a candidate of IA without explicit application, while the position papers are excluded. The presenter of each regular paper should be identified on its final submission, otherwise it is excluded from the candidates of IA.


SICE Annual Conference Young Author’s Award (YAA)

Any eligible author of both of the regular and position papers can apply for YAA.
An applicant should apply for the award via Papercept from here (by the same deadline as the final paper submission.)
Please click “Submit a contribution to SICE 2024” in aforementioned URL, and select ‘Young Author Award Nomination’. Then, fill out the paper number and the person who is being nominated. The application must be made by the applicant himself or herself and be under 35 years of age as of 1 January 2024. The applicant must be the first author, a speaker, and the person responsible for communication regarding the case, and must agree to provide personal information necessary for age verification. It should be noted that any regular paper applied to YAA is excluded from the candidates of IA.

Basis of Judgment

• Quality of the paper (originality, impact) and presentation technique.

• The Award Selection Committee will select no more than 6 finalists for International Award and no more than 5 finalists for Young Author's Award based on the final manuscripts. Those finalists will be notified before the conference.

• Two IA winners and one YAA winner will be selected during the conference based on the presentations as well as the quality of the papers.



Presentation

The winners will be announced on SICE 2024 website. The prize consists of a certificate and a trophy. All other finalists receive certifications.
