How to Prepare to Present your Paper at SICE 2021
SICE 2021 is planning for an entirely virtual conference hosted through PaperCept and Zoom platforms. We will offer you two options for presenting your accepted regular/position paper: video presentation and live presentation (12-minutes presentation with 3-minutes Q&A). The conference committee recommends the video presentation to avoid any sudden network problems that may arise when presenting. Please note that if you are unable to or difficult to upload the presentation video by August 20, you must choose the other option of the live presentation. In the case of a no-show, the paper will be removed from the proceedings to be published.
A. Presenting your paper in the video:
You have to upload a pre-recorded video of your presentation by August 20 through PaperCept. Your presentation will be played during the scheduled presentation time according to the conference program. After your video presentation plays, the Session Chair/Co-Chair will open the floor for 3 minutes for you to take and answer questions. The uploaded video will be made available to conference attendees through the online conference program for the next three months. The followings are requirements of the video that you prepare:
1. Duration: 12-minutes maximum video presentation
2. File size limit: 100MB file
3. Minimum height: 480 pixel
4. Aspect ratio: 16:9
5. Video format: mp4
6. Deadline of release form submission (signed copy in PDF or JPG): August 20
The release form with your video is available here.
We recommend using a recording tool embedded in the Zoom platform to efficiently record your videos (the one used for the conference sessions). Please refer to the following link for detailed indications:

Please note that the above specifications will be checked at the time of submission, and files not meeting these requirements will be prevented from being uploaded. Presentations can be shorter than the maximum length allowed, providing more time for questions and discussion. Except for the above duration and digital constraints, the form of the presentation is left free (though please be sure the video includes the title of the paper, the authors, and a mention to SICE2021).
B. Presenting your paper in live:
You make slides for a 12-minutes presentation with 3-minutes Q&A. During the scheduled presentation time, according to the conference program, you share the slides with the attendees over Zoom to present your paper. After the live presentation, you can take and answer questions for 3-minutes.
