Session description:

We plan Special Panel Session on Safety and Secure Control System for realizing Smart Manufacturing. “Safety and Secure Control System” important for realizing “Smart Manufacturing”. This Special Panel Session covers the latest topics of “Safety and Secure Control System” including future image of system, component and human interaction toward ICS (Industrial Control System) enterprise. The discussion topics are

　1) Safety/security and IT/OT convergence
　2) Standards and conformity assessment
　3) Secure supply chain and products solution.

This special session is held to follow up, drill deep into and expand such themes in collaboration with international speakers. Anyone is encouraged to participate these sessions. Participants will argue fruitful discussion, create friendship relation and obtain expertise through on-going activities regarding latest trend of Safety and Secure Control System for realizing Smart Manufacturing.

Session description:

To realize Society 5.0, international standardization is needed to utilize various technologies of many countries. The SICE International Standardization Committee (SISC) contributes to standardization related to measurement and control technology. In this special panel session, experts involved in international standardization related to Society 5.0 and the heads of the SICE department will report on the current status of their standardization activities. We invite students and engineers who are interested in international standardization to participate.
