SICE Festival 2024 with Annual conference in Kochi has come to close. Despite challenging weather conditions, we were delighted to welcome over 550 participants to Kochi. We extend our sincere thanks to all participants and to all those who contributed to the success of the SICE festival. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and schedule changes due to Typhoon #10. We hope that you return home safely. The SICE FES 2025 will be announced soon. We look forward to seeing you in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
The SICE Festival 2024 with Annual Conference, organized by the Society of Instrument and Control Engineers (SICE), will be held on August 27-30, 2024, at Kochi University of Technology Eikokuji Campus, Kochi, JAPAN.
This festival is the biggest event in SICE and the conference is an international conference covering a broad range of fields from measurement and control to system analysis and design, from theory to application, and from software to hardware, and will provide an opportunity for both academic and industrial engineering practitioners in measurement and control fields to present their work and discuss their ideas.
The technical program of the conference will consist of plenary and invited talks, tutorial courses, and workshops, as well as oral and interactive sessions.
Announcement regarding Typhoon #10
Typhoon No. 10 is currently heading toward Shikoku and Kansai. We hope that it will not have a major impact, but we
would like to inform you of the measures that SICE_FES will take in the event that transportation is affected.
[1] If you are unable to arrive in Kochi in time for your presentation due to the effects of the typhoon, we will not
treat it as a no-show. If this situation occurs, please contact the SICE_FES Executive Committee:

[2] If you are unable to arrive at the venue due to the effects of the typhoon, regardless of whether you will be making
a presentation or not, and you have decided to abandon your participation in SICE_FES, please contact the SICE_FES
Executive Committee as above. However, since various expenses have already been incurred to hold the conference, we will
not be making any special arrangements, such as refunding the participation fee, so please understand.
[3] In the above [1][2], we are considering issuing a "presentation certificate" etc. if necessary. We are also
considering sending congress kits etc. to those who were unable to attend the venue at a later date. For that reason, in
the case of [1][2], we would appreciate it if you could inform the SICE_FES Executive Committee.
Depending on the future course and growth of the typhoon, the method of response may change. This is only the policy as
of the morning of August 23rd. Please do not overdo it.

台風の影響への対応について
現在台風１０号が四国・関西へ向かっております．大きな影響が出なければいい
のですが，交通機関への影響が出た場合のSICE_FESとしての対応についてお知
らせいたします．
[１] 発表予定の方で，台風の影響で発表時間までに高知まで到着できない場合，
No Show 扱いにはしない方針です．もしそのような状況になった場合に
はその旨をSICE_FES実行委員会

までご一報ください．
[２] ご発表のあるなしに関わらずご参加予定の方で，台風の影響で会場への到
着ができなくなり，SICE_FESへのご参加を断念をされる場合も同様に上
記SICE_FES実行委員会までご一報ください．ただ，すでに学会開催のた
めの諸経費等は発生しておりますため，参加費の払い戻しなど，特別なご
配慮はしない方針ですのでご了承ください．
[３] 上の[1][2]において，必要に応じて，「発表証明書」などを発行するこ
とを考えております．また会場に来れなかった方に対してはコングレスキッ
トなどを後日ご送付させていただくことを考えております．そのためにも
[1][2]の場合，SICE_FES実行委員会にご一報いただけますと幸いです．
なお，今後の台風の進路や成長具合によっては，対応の方法が変わるかもしれま
せん．あくまでも８月２３日午前現在の方針です．どうかご無理なさらぬように
お願いいたします．
