The SICE Annual Conference 2018 (SICE 2018) will be held at Nara Kasugano International Forum. The conference site is near several historic treasures, including Todai-ji temple and Kasuga-taisha shrine.

On Foot
20 minutes from Kintetsu Nara Station or 30 minutes from JR Nara Station.
By Bus

To the conference venue
Take Route 2 at either Kintetsu or JR Nara Station. Get off the bus at Todaiji-Daibutsuden/Kasugataisha-mae bus-stop (less than 10 minutes). Walk forward to the east about a few minutes to find the Nara Kasugano International Forum.
Take Route 7, 77, or 97 at either Kintetsu or JR Nara Station. Get off the bus at Nara Kasugano International Forum.
Routes 1 and 2 circulate the downtown Nara around every 10 minutes. Route 1 goes anti-clockwise, and Route 2 goes clockwise.
From the conference venue
Be advised that some of the bus routes are not reversible, i.e., the bus route that took you to the conference venue may not be the best choice when coming back from the venue. For example, to arrive at the stations, it is faster to take Route 1 instead of Route 2. Furthermore, Route 1 does not stop at Todaiji-Daibutsuden/Kasugataisha-mae; you should board on at Todaiji-daibutsuden/Kokuritsu-Hakubutsukan bus-stop.

Local Information
Lunch
If you have ordered lunchboxes in advance, you can pick up your lunchboxes around at the Registration Desk. It is prohibited to take lunch in the garden, Noh Theatre, and the lobby on the first floor. You may take lunch in the session rooms and the Reception Hall 1.

Coffee service will be provided in the Reception Hall 1 from Wednesday, September 12th through Friday, September 14th.
